Canada’s first Defence Industrial Strategy outlines a more deliberate effort to align procurement with domestic industrial capability, sovereign supply chains, and long-term economic benefit. The strategy signals a stronger policy preference for building Canadian capacity at home while also supporting allied cooperation abroad. For many IPAC members, this could mean a more structured environment for industrial participation, supplier development, and capability expansion.
